Maxis will be having a two days Chinese New Year 50% Off domestic voice promotion, valid only from 10am to 2pm on 10 February and 11 February 2013
Customers do not need to opt-in to enjoy the 50%-off discount. All corporate and individual subscribers automatically qualify for this promotion. Calls before and after the promotion time band will be charged as per current rates of the respective rate plans available.
This promotion is open to all Postpaid rate plans only in all segments except for Port out customers after 9th February 2013
Calls entitled for the 50%-off discount are Only Local Voice Calls, On-net refers to calls between Maxis Mobile numbers to all other Maxis Mobile numbers and Maxis Mobile numbers to Maxis Fixed line numbers – voice calls only. Definition of “Maxis to Maxis” in the case of fixed line numbers – refers to numbers determined as part of the Maxis Fixed line numbers.
Calls excluded from this promotion: Includes IDD, Roaming, To special numbers or toll numbers. Examples of special numbers or toll numbers are 1300, 1800 and 121 numbers. All other call types not specified in point 5 above. Excludes Video Calls. Excludes Unity Calls
There is no limit to calls duration as long as it is within the promotion date and time band stated. If the call starts before the time band, the minutes before will be at the usual call rates and the minutes that fall within the promotion time band will be at 50% off on on-net calls.
Note that this promotion is not applicable for roaming. Although the call made from Malaysia is considered a local call, the receiver of the call is not receiving a local call therefore the receiver will still need to bear the roaming charges depending on which country the receiver is at.
