GST? No worries with KFC
Prices of some of your favourite items and combos have been reduced at KFC
While KFC is registered with the Royal Malaysian Customs Department (RMCD) in compliance with GST regulations, the GST replaces SST (Government Tax) at the same standard tax rate of 6%.
So there isn’t a change in the amount charged. You either pay same or less with GST as the prices of some of your favourite meals have been reduced.
But the prices displayed on the menu will be higher because the prices shown are nett, which includes the 6% GST. Previously, the 6% Government Tax was not displayed on the menu. It was charged upon payment at the cash register.
GST will still be imposed on the items purchased using Cash vouchers.
GST is charged on the price of the items after the discount when using discount vouchers
